Pack of Lies

A bed for more than nappin’?
Suits me fine.
If that’s what’s gonna happen,
I don’t mind.
If life were all about it,
That’s one thing.
But I can do without it,
So I sing:

That I still get quite a fever
When I look in her eyes
Though I don’t I don’t believe her
Pack of lies.
She is only a deceiver
Who will not compromise
But gladly devise
Your sorrow —

To beg & still & borrow –
Isn’t me.
But leave it till tomorrow
And you’ll see.
A bed that’s made for beddin’
That’s okay.
If that’s where we are headin’
Make my day.

But I still get quite a fever
When I look in her eyes
Though I don’t believe her
Pack of lies.
She is only a deceiver
Who will not compromise
But gladly devise
Your sorrow –

I’m gonna be with the three of them tonight!
Yes I will, and it will surely be a blessing!
And the things I will see of them tonight
Are not things that come from only an undressing –
They are phantoms of the fever
That I found in her eyes –
Never to believe her
Pack of lies!
They are pawns of the deceiver
Who will not compromise
But gladly devise your pain.

And the phantoms of the fever
That I found in her eyes –
Never could relieve her
Pack of lies!
She is only a deceiver
Who will not compromise
But gladly devise your pain.
She’s got to devise
Your pain.
Your death, your demise,
Your bane –
Your death, your demise,
Your pain –
She’s got to devise
Your bane –
Your death, your demise –
