I haven’t posted in a few days because I’ve been waiting for something to happen — and, well, it happened.
As of December 27, two weeks ago today, I have been hired by Denise Moorehead to write for Classism Exposed. Yesterday my first article, simply entitled “Andy’s Story,” was published.
Andy’s Story

Andy’s Story: Class and Homelessness
(And now, being as I just spent over an hour trying fruitlessly to figure out how to link to my story and make it look like it does on the blog, with the picture and everything, I will now cease from the pretense of having any patience with technology, and return to my more idyllic realm of being a reclusive — if clueless — Artist.)

Congrats, Andy, on your published piece. I’m so happy for you and not surprised at all that your writing has been recognized. Excellent article, my friend.

Funny, I myself am surprised — and doubly so, given this morning’s news. Then again, it has long been my contention that some of one’s finest work is accomplished during procrastination. The things we come up while postponing the grueling task of notating a 250 page piano-vocal score will often prove sweeter than said p-v-score itself. ;)

Well done Andy! I ‘enjoyed’ reading that and the strong message was loud and clear

Thanks, Lynne. Hopefully this will mark an auspicious new beginning for me.
